3D printing industry grows fast and opens new Opportunities for SMEs, ranging from faster prototyping to reduced costs and product manufacturing times. As part of an international project 3DOP - 3D Printing Optimized Production, provides entrepreneurs with the opportunity to fully use the advanced technologies, knowledge and advisory services of one of the 30 project partners free of charge.
One of them is TEH LAB operating within the Rijeka Development Agency Porin. TEH LAB offers modern equipment based on additive technologies enable the manufacture of metal or polymer parts. In addition to 3D printing, TEH LAB also provides Digitalisation services of existing objects through high-resolution optical 3D scanning.
Public call
The Rijeka Development Agency Porin, as the only Croatian partner in the international project consortium 3DOP, invites small and medium-sized enterprises from all over Croatia to apply for the Public call published as part of the project and to gain free access to state-of-the-art technologies, expertise and advanced technical solutions in the field of additive manufacturing. This opportunity allows companies to develop, test and deploy advanced 3D technologies in prototyping and manufacturing – completely free of charge. In this way, Croatian SMEs can actively participate in the research of new business opportunities created through the implementation of the European 3DOP project. Selected companies receive not only access to technological testing and technical cooperation, but also personalised mentoring and advisory services designed to support innovation projects in the development and funding phase.
Entrepreneurs who apply to the Public Call can choose between several forms of cooperation. Particularly noteworthy is the service Free demonstrations and pilot services offered by our TEH LAB, through which entrepreneurs can test, optimize and adapt their own technologies. In addition to the services offered by the Rijeka Development Agency Porin, entrepreneurs can also choose one of the services offered by the remaining thirty partners on the 3DOP project. These include testing solutions developed through the project, a range of non-technical services such as mentoring, training, new projects and partnerships, public and private funding.

Who can apply and how?
The call is aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises who want to develop innovation using additive manufacturing and advanced manufacturing technologies. Applications are open by 8 September 2025.

- Wait for evaluation and selection by the 3DOP team.

What will the selected entrepreneur get?
Selected SMEs will receive highly specialized services completely free of charge. If the application is accepted, they will have at their disposal not only 3D printing service, but also technical support, mentoring and counseling by experienced project partners.

3DoP: EU project aimed at optimizing production through advanced 3D technology
3DOP is a project co-financed by the European Commission through the Interregional Innovation Investment Instrument (I3) with the aim of stimulating industrial growth and innovation through cooperation between European macro-regions. The project aims to remove barriers to the widespread uptake of AM by SMEs, in particular high costs, lack of automation and digital integration.
Through the collaboration of 33 partners, 3DOP offers A wide range of advanced 3D printing and support solutions for European manufacturing companies. The most important partner is Signify, the world leader in lighting for professionals, consumers and IoT lighting, formerly known as Philips Lighting. Other significant partners are Tracxon, ValCUN i 3Fact.
