The EDIH Adria project is entering a new phase of implementation. After a successful first phase, EDIH Adria continues with the aim of strengthening the digital transformation of businesses and public institutions, with a stronger emphasis on the application of artificial intelligence and the long-term sustainability of services.
The initial consortium meeting confirmed the operational framework of the work for the coming period and defined the implementation priorities for the first months of the project.
Service continuity and focus on SMEs
In a new phase, the European Commission underlines the importance of continuity and sustainability of services with a particular focus on SMEs. Although the project also covers the public sector, the primary indicators focus on the private sector, further confirming the role of EDIH in supporting the competitiveness of the economy.
At this stage, the emphasis is placed on guiding the user through the entire process, from the first expression of interest, through testing and implementation of the solution, to monitoring the results and further development.
New partner: Velebit AI
Consortium joins Velebit AI, This further strengthens the technical capacity in the field of AI. Cooperation between business and technical expertise, which proved to be a good practice in the first phase of the project, continues in the new period with the aim of developing concrete and applicable AI solutions.
New services and tools
The new phase of the project brings several important novelties:
- Digital Usability Assessment (DUA) – assessing the applicability and readiness of digital solutions before investing, as an input into the Test-before-Invest (TBI) service;
- AI Ethics Toolkit – an ethical assessment tool for AI solutions, aligned with the regulatory framework;
- improved sales and service allocation process, including clearer procedures and user monitoring;
- Establishment and operational launch AI Helpdesk as a central point for AI queries
Test-before-Invest (TBI) remains the central service of the project, with additional integration with the EU AI infrastructure and EDIH Network portal.
EDIH Adria continues to provide a structured package of services that includes:
- Digital Maturity Assessment (DMA) – assessing the digital maturity of businesses and public institutions;
- Test-before-Invest (TBI) – testing digital and AI solutions before making investment decisions;
- advisory services for the development of digital strategies
- education and strengthening of digital and AI skills
- networking with national and European innovation stakeholders
This ensures that users are supported throughout the entire process, from the assessment of needs to the concrete implementation of technology.
