In today's dynamic world, where autonomy in transport is increasingly explored and developed, education is becoming crucial in order to gain a deeper understanding of new technologies. In order to respond to the demands of new trends, Ericsson Nikola Tesla represents education “Autonomous management models in maritime and road transport”, which focuses on autonomous systems, urban logistics and transport systems.
The content of the training is spread over an intensive 4-hour period, providing participants with a comprehensive understanding of key aspects of autonomous management. It covers the definition of autonomous systems, different performances, management architecture, current applications and current and future trends in cities.
One of the key areas of education is perception and modelling of sensory or statistical environment. Participants will learn how autonomous systems create models of space in order to self-locate on a local, global and contextual level. Planning, correcting and monitoring the dynamic trajectory or goals of the model are also important aspects, with an emphasis on the detection of irregularities, collisions and redefining the course of successful management.
Special attention will be paid to remote research based on sensor networks, as well as predictive optimization to achieve energy efficiency and risk reduction. Through examples of past implementations, participants will get an insight into current trends of autonomous systems and expected future implementations.
Zdenko Kljaić, an expert from Ericsson Nikola Tesla, will be the leader of the training, sharing his rich experience and knowledge with the participants.
Education will be held at the Faculty of Informatics and Digital Technologies, Hall 357, Radmile Matejčić 2, Rijeka, or online. The course will last 4 hours and three slots are available: 09.02.2024., 08.03.2024. and 05.04.2024., starting at 10 am and ending at 2 pm.
Through this training, participants will gain valuable knowledge about autonomous systems in transport, defining the environment, identifying implementation risks and infrastructure development, with insight into relevant regulatory frameworks. This course provides a unique opportunity to gain expertise in the field of autonomous traffic management, enabling learners to be one step ahead in this fast-paced field of technological innovation.
