EDIH Adria presented at the panel discussion “Digitisation of business and sales – key to success”

On 16 March 2023, the Istrian Development Agency – IDA d.o.o. and Algebra d.o.o. for adult education and services organised an interesting panel discussion and the twelfth in a series of workshops, which the Istrian Development Agency – IDA d.o.o. is implementing in 2023 as part of the COWORKING Pula project, co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund within the ITU mechanism for the urban area of Pula.
Today's panel discussion on the topic Digitalisation of business and sales – key to success and a workshop on the topic The Potential of IoT Technology, was followed live and online by approximately 20 participants.

Panel discussion participants: Marijo Volarević – currently Chief Digital Officer at JGL d.d. with many years of experience in managing the digital transformation of products, companies and business models worldwide, Zoran Popović - senior technical project manager at Valamar Riviera, the largest and leading tourism company in Croatia, Damir Medved - Director of EDIH Adria (European Digital Innovation HUB) whose main goal is to enable small entrepreneurs and local self-government units to accelerate the process of digitization of their organizations, Domagoj Ostović – owner and director of the award-winning Labin company Lloyds digital, which develops digital products – software solutions and mobile applications; Bernard Čupić - software system architect at the Pula company Mali Mol d.o.o., which is engaged in the design and development of 3D applications, explained to the participants how the digital transformation of business and sales can positively affect cost reduction, but also enable easier or automated communication with clients.

The panel discussion was followed by a practical workshop Potential of IoT technology (lecturer Marijo Volarević), which gave entrepreneurs insight into the opportunities that IoT (Internet of Things) provides in various activities/industries through practical examples of using IoT in healthcare, education, transport, retail and many other areas, which indicates the overall potential of IoT.
Through the presented practical examples of IoT implementation, entrepreneurs can understand the benefits of IoT and are able to implement related technologies in their own business.

These events shall be carried out in a hybrid manner; live and at the same time online, in order to provide access to knowledge for as wide a circle of interested participants as possible. The recording of each event will also be available on Facebook and YouTube channels of the Istrian Development Agency and the future Coworking Centre Pula.
