Report from the second EDIH Adria conference: Interesting discussions and great interest in digital solutions!

The Torpedo Production Park in Rijeka hosted the second EDIH Adria conference yesterday, which brought together a large number of participants from different industries interested in digital solutions and business transformation. This event, organized as part of the project of the European Digital Innovation Hub Adria, put in the spotlight examples of successful implementation of digital tools and technologies, which enabled companies to improve their business and achieve greater competitiveness on the market.

AI Assistant presentation for Adria PA – key moment of the conference

One of the most memorable moments of the conference was the presentation of development AI Assistant for Adria PA, held by Benedict Perak. This innovative tool is designed to improve communication processes within the company, with an emphasis on automating and accelerating customer interactions. Through a detailed demonstration, Perak showed how AI Assistant works in practice, highlighting its advanced functionalities, such as data analysis, real-time query processing and user experience personalization.

Participants had the opportunity to see how this AI tool helps optimize workflows, increase efficiency, and reduce the time it takes to perform routine tasks. Due to its innovative characteristics, the AI Assistant project for Adria PA has been applied for EDIH Network Awards, which further confirms its importance and potential for wider application.

Application of IoT technologies in solar projects – success for 3t.cable

Another important moment of the conference was the presentation of the project for 3t.cable, a company specializing in solar projects, which has also applied for the EDIH Network Awards. Saša Vojvodić, Ericsson Nikola Tesla, who led this presentation, pointed out that IoT technologies successfully implemented to optimize solar systems, thereby increasing their efficiency and long-term sustainability.

Vojvodić showed the participants concrete results of the implementation of the IoT solution, including improving the control of solar panels, optimizing energy production and reducing maintenance costs. This project illustrates how digital technologies can contribute to energy sustainability and improve business in the renewable energy sectors, which was one of the key topics of the conference. This project has also been nominated for EDIH Network Awards, which highlights its innovativeness and practicality in the field of digital transformation.

Panel discussion – exchange of experiences and questions from the audience

The highlight of the conference was Panel discussion in which they participated Davor Car from 3t.cable and Đani Poropat from Adria PA, moderated by Damir Medved, Director of the EDIH Adria project. The discussion focused on concrete experiences from the cooperation process with the EDIH Adria project and the implementation of digital solutions in both companies, where the panellists shared the challenges they faced, as well as the benefits that digital innovation will bring to their organizations.

The audience showed great interest, asking numerous questions about the technical and operational aspects of the implementation, which made the discussion extremely interactive and useful for all participants. This dialogue further highlighted the importance of cooperation between the private sector, academia and innovation hubs in driving the digital transformation.

Annual EDIH Adria Awards

At the end of the conference came Annual EDIH Adria Awards, which this year went into the hands of the Istrian Development Agency i the Cluster of Health Tourism, in recognition of its outstanding contribution and successful cooperation. These organizations are recognized for their proactivity in informing their public about the EDIH Adria project and connecting with relevant stakeholders.

Conference conclusions and a look into the future

EDIH Adria 2024 once again confirmed the key role of digital innovation in the development and competitiveness of companies. Participants expressed their satisfaction with the content of the conference, especially because of the opportunity to hear concrete examples from practice and get acquainted with the new opportunities brought by digital transformation.
