The project of equipping primary schools with the so-called IoT sensor equipment was presented today at Petar Zrinski Elementary School in Čabar. The project is carried out within the framework of an educational program to encourage STEM and technology in mountain schools, and it is implemented by the Regional Development Agency of PGC “Priroda”.
The basis of the project is the equipping of at least one classroom in each of the nine primary schools in Gorski Kotar and education related to work in them, and 27 schools were allocated from the budget of the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County for the realization of the project. This is currently one of the rare, if not the only examples of this form of energy conservation education in Croatia, and we are proud that representatives of the Finnish Ministry of Education who visited us and were informed about the foundations of the project and the way of realization expressed their interest in this model of basic education - said Vedran Kružić from Occasion.

After the presentation of the project, representatives of technology partners “Occasions”, namely 3t.Cable and EDIH Adria, held the first workshop for children interested in this area.
Damir Medved held a lecture on the opportunities that are provided to small and medium-sized entrepreneurs to participate in such curricula through the development of advanced components from the domain of energy monitoring and management in public facilities, and for the development of which significant funds from EU funds have been provided.
