The Central Health Information System of the Republic of Croatia (CEZIH) is a key infrastructure that has been developing continuously for more than ten years. This system supports a wide range of services, some of which are visible only to health system managers and the Croatian Health Insurance Fund, while others are also available to health professionals and even patients.
The educational course “Central Health Information System of the Republic of Croatia (CEZIH)” is intended to provide participants with an insight into the functioning and possibilities of CEZIH systems. The duration of the course is 4 hours, and its goal is to provide participants with a complete overview of the business architecture and services provided by CEZIH.
Topics to be covered during the course include:
Business architecture of CEZIH systems:
Understanding the key components of the system.
Interfaces of individual components, their mutual interaction and connection.
Possibilities of upgrading and improving the system.
Central applications:
eKarton: A detailed view of the electronic health record (eKarton), which is kept for each patient and is accessible to healthcare professionals with a right of access.
Health portal: Overview of the application intended for patients to monitor their own health status and information.

The duration of the training is 4 hours, and lectures will be held by experts in the field, including Katarina Uradin, Goran Streny and representatives of Ericsson Nikola Tesla.
