This year's edition confirmed the status of the conference as one of the leading regional gatherings of experts in the field of medicine, tourism and technology.

Anja Barešić (Ruđer Bošković Institute / AI4Health) i Danijela Milina (Adricom d.o.o.) – discussing, through concrete examples and experiences, the role of digital technologies and artificial intelligence in the future of health tourism;

The discussion highlighted several key conclusions, fully in line with the project's thesis. EDIH Adria:

  • digital transformation in health is no longer an option but a necessity;

  • AI, computational vision and predictive analytics are already significantly improving diagnostics and user experience;

  • The biggest challenge remains Lack of educated staff for the application of advanced technologies;

  • Regulatory and ethical frameworks for the application of AI systems in healthcare are still being developed;

  • the use of technologies must be accompanied by investments in Digital skills, data security i standardization according to EHDS frameworks

Panellists agreed that AI in health tourism does not replace the human factor, but complements it – allowing for personalised care, more efficient organisation and better patient experience.

Project EDIH Adria, which brings together leading academic, technological and business partners such as Ericsson Nikola Tesla, Infobipa, the University of Rijeka i Step Ri Innovation Center, presented as an example of successful integration of AI technologies in the health sector, with an approach ’Test Before Invest" which enables the safe implementation of innovations.

CIHT 2025 has confirmed that Kvarner, thanks to a long tradition of health tourism and a strong innovation community, one of Europe’s leading examples of successful synergies between health, technology and sustainable development.

The conference concluded with a message that Digital innovation is not an end in itself, already a tool to improve the quality of life, health and competitiveness of destinations.

Crikvenica has once again proven that it combines the tradition of health and the future of digital innovation.
