Zvonimir Petković, software engineer at Infobip, this year again under the auspices of the consortium EDIH Adria holds trainings on business improvement using generative artificial intelligence (GenAI). And while last year was intended for a wider range of participants and approached the topic in a more general way, Petković has prepared content for 2025 that goes a step further.
- Education titled Advanced use of GenAI technology for leaders and business teamsIt is scheduled for March 19th. It aims to provide a fundamental understanding of the terminology and characteristics of GenAI applications. In particular, it deals with the integration of external data and good practices of using popular GenAI tools.
- Education for developers called Application of GenAI technology for IT engineersFriday is March 26th. Participants will explore key components of GenAI applications and best practices, and master techniques such as vectorization, prompt engineering and the use of software assistants such as GitHub Copilot.
Both trainings last five hours and are held via conference connection. They are intended for employees of small and medium-sized enterprises and public institutions and organizations from all over Croatia. Participants and their employers are free of charge and the number of participants is not limited.
Director of EDIH Adria Consortium Damir Medved points out that this is an opportunity that should be taken advantage of, since these educations are woven into the knowledge and practical experience of one of the most agile technology companies in the region, and are also the basis for a better conception of applications of companies and public institutions to numerous sources of funding for digital transformation that will be available in the Republic of Croatia during this year.
-In the AI information forest, smaller companies and public administrations sometimes find it difficult to navigate. The impression is that every day new language models, new AI assistants, new AI solutions that promise rapid transformation appear. However, AI also brings with it very specific requirements, especially regarding the documentation of business processes, the quality and credibility of data, as well as potential business risks, and it needs to be approached rationally, systematically and informed. Damir Medved.
This, he points out, is the basic mission of the EDIH Adria consortium, which consists of the University of Rijeka, the University of Pula, technology leaders Ericsson Nikola Tesla and Infobip, and support institutions Porin and Step RI.
-Our task is to provide SMEs and the public sector with concrete support and advice on the introduction of new technologies and innovation and to empower them on the path to strengthening competitiveness through digitalisation. We do this through several types of education, bootcamp workshops and testing of project ideas. We have adapted our knowledge and capacities to provide tailor-made support to our customers and their business. Therefore, I invite companies and public administration from all over Croatia to contact us and make the most of the services we offer in 2025, especially such exclusive educations prepared by leading experts from Infobip and offer numerous practical experiences with complex projects, concluded Medved.
